At Maxem we are searching for an experienced Business Development Manager who wants to make an impact in a fast-paced international environment.

Maxem is growing fast and that’s why we’re searching for a Business Development Manager to strengthen our team! In this role you run the full sales cycle. You focus on following up warm leads and expanding our existing client portfolio. With your proactive approach you identify new opportunities within current relationships and drive sustainable growth.

This all-in-one platform connects and manages electrical vehicle (EV) charging stations, (stationary) batteries and solar energy in order to optimize energy usage. It also addresses limitations in grid connections that can hinder the electrification of a company’s car park, thereby enabling more businesses to transition to a fully electric fleet.

Your role at Maxem

In this role your strategic mindset, consultative selling and strong relationship management are crucial, as well as your ability to facilitate cross functional collaboration to stimulate company growth and client satisfaction.

You contribute to sustainable growth by building strong relationships with strategic customers and partners. You understand their challenges, think along with their ambitions and ensure that Maxem’s solutions not only help them move forward, but accelerate. Thanks to your involvement, customers become ambassadors.

You are responsible for the entire sales cycle: from identifying potential leads to closing valuable contracts. You know where the energy lies and how to turn it into impact. You combine commercial sharpness with substantive persuasive power.

As a trusted advisor, you show customers how to make smarter use of their EV charging infrastructure. You translate complex energy challenges into clear solutions, where battery storage, solar panels and smart energy management come together in one coherent story.

You work closely with colleagues from Product, Marketing, and Customer Success. Together, you ensure a consistent, professional and inspiring customer experience from first contact to long-term collaboration.

You keep a close eye on market developments: emerging technologies, changing regulations and shifts in the competitive landscape. You translate these insights into opportunities for Maxem and for your customers. You keep HubSpot tightly organized, so your pipeline is not only full but also predictable and transparent.

What do you bring?

  • Minimum 7 years work experience in sales or account management, within EV charging, energy management or a related industry

  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills with experience in complex, solution oriented sales, preferably experience with SaaS solutions

  • You have the ability to build long lasting client relationships connect with multiple levels within an organisation

  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in both English and Dutch

  • Experience with CRM and data-driven sales

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities

  • Adaptability, and capable to thrive in a fast growing, innovative scale up environment

  • Problem solving mindset with an eye for detail and a proactive approach

  • Prepared to travel where required to conventions, conferences and client meetings

  • Knowledge of the EV-charging or energy industry is a must

  • Passion to work together towards a zero-emission future
